Development Fund


The Computer Science Department accepts contributions to supplement the State and funded research budgets. These contributions can be directed to one or both of the development funds.

  • The General Development Fund is used, for example, to purchase equipment, to support faculty and student travel to present research results, to fund outstanding graduate awards and to assist the student's High Plains Chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery.

  • The second fund is the Scholarships and Awards Fund. The current goal is to build this fund into a sustaining fund to honor retired faculty members. Since 1996-1997 three awards have been made honoring Dr. Michael Magee, Dr. Stanley Petrick, Dr. John Rowland, and Dr. William Walden.

Contributions of equipment are also accepted to improve the quality of our teaching and research programs.
